I would like to start a discussion on the date BC when Moses was sent to Egypt/.

1406 is held by the Rabinical Professors...

1406 - 1335 = 71 years...

1486~?
Moses was 80 when He was sent to Egypt.

1335 + 80 = 1415; 1335 - 40 = 1295.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Akhenaten  circa 1335.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amenhotep_II circa 1427

606 Babylon + 515.25 years for 21 Kings of Judah + 480 as written in Solomon's 4th year - 40 Saul - 2 - 40 David - 4th Year Temple of Solomon + 430 in Egypt + 47~ Jacob + 60 Isaac + 100 Abraham = 2152.25 years...

+ 70 Terah = 2222.25 BC

+ 2014 = 4236.25~ years.

Moses: 1523.25 BC... - 1335 = 188.25 = 180 Isaac + 8 1/4

I don't know much about Moses but I think "when he was grown up" must be at an age  of appr 15 years as we know the years (12 months incl. July & August) to flee to Median. Get married at the age of 15: stay there for 40 years, excl. July Aug = 10 months: 10/12 * 40 = 33.3333 years, and then send back to Egypt for another 40 years for the exodus = 33.33 years as we know them: So Moses must have died at the age of 15 + 33 + 33 = 81 ?

So he must have been sent back to Egypt at the age of 15+33 = 38 ?

Good guess!  However, Moses was 80 years of age when He was sent to Egypt.

+ 40 = 120 years.

Lol 15 +33 = 48 of course.
How exactly was it calculated that he was 80 when he was sent back?

I thought 15: flee to Median
Stay in Median for 40 x 10 months = 33 years
So going back to Egypt at age of 48?  Why 80?

The Scripture tells us how old He was.  He was married to the Daughter of The Priest of Midian and His brother and sister were in the House of Pharaoh whose names were Aaron and Merriam.

Where can I read that?  And by the way I just read that 40 in the bible means "a large approximate bumber" so forget about my calculations. Smiley

6 Moses and Aaron did just as the Lord commanded them. 7 Moses was eighty years old and Aaron eighty-three when they spoke to Pharaoh.

Yeah just read it. I doubt Moses ever got 120 years old. Anyway forget about my earlier quotes a year would have 10 months in history.
I think it should be 354 days in a year back then (365 now). So Moses got 354/365 = 116 years old.

Some people were just reported on TV to have attained the age of 114+- years of age.

2014 - 114 = 1900~

WWII was in 1948...

Anyhow, 365.25/120 = 3.04375

Note that according to the energy equation x^2-x-1=0, time, the derivative, travels faster the further you go back or ahead from now up to 61.8%.  derivative: (2x-1)  People could have lived to be 116 or 900 years old.

Quadratic form:
- b +- sq root {b^2 - 4ac} / 2a

- 1 +- sq root { 1 +4  / 2 } =

Roots are:  {0.581138830, - 2.581138}

Date that Moses might have been sent to Egypt perhaps 16th Century BCE when the Santorini Volcano in Greece erupted. This could explain the plagues?

To get at least in the ballpark, Abraham left Ur in 1700 BC. Moses left Egypt, where he was born, in around 1200 BC.

If you read the Bible, you'll see that one can count the years from Adam down to Zarubabell. So and so was the son of So and so born in his father's 23 rd year etc.

You could also check who was the Pharaoh in Moses' time. That would pin point it.

Yeah you'r right: Adam cannot possibly have been 930 years old and Abraham not 187 years old either. Perhaps the Santorini blast caused Noah to drift in an Ark in 1650 BC not anything to do with Moses?

And regarding a Pharaoh check in Moses' time , there are no names mentioned. Only way I guess is to check is the similarities in Hebrew bible and Islam. The story's are roughly the same. Islam mentions a name of the wife? Any historical info about her?
