Century I Quatrain XVI-Possible reference to 2012 galactic alignment

A scythe joined with a pond in Sagittarius
at its highest ascendant.
Plague, famine, death from military hands;
the century approaches its renewal.

Think of the 'scythe' as the stinger of Scorpio, which is next to the arrow of Sagittarius. Think of the 'pond' as the dark rift, or the black hole in the center of the galaxy that is in the dark rift (which is between the arrow of Sagittarius and the stinger of Scorpio). Think of the sun's positition in the dark rift as the "highest ascendant". Could it be at this time when the plague, famine, and death from military hands (i.e. war and/or martial law) reach its "highest ascendant"? And could the idea of "appraching renewal" refer to the entry into a new age?
