Prediction Corner / Re: THE USA is m A b US
« on: December 19, 2008, 01:32:28 AM »
Ever one to keep it objective & empirical:

How about this for a laugh, Nostradamus was a French man who loved his own country, and it is that place that is the story, the US only gets cameo roles in this story.
There are though global events and a lot to do with bad financial management and some of the events there, that will dwarf anything we have seen.

Better yet what signs are there, that anything Biblical (prophetically) is imminent?

So no Twin towers, Katrina or Bush or even Obama and we only accept all 4 lines being explained not catch phrases!
Look to French or Euro leadership for profiles and misdeeds

51.  Thereupon the same thing will occur in the South, where for the space of three years the Church people will be persecuted even more fiercely through the Apostatic seduction of one who will hold all the absolute power in the Church militant. The holy people of God, the observer of his law, will be persecuted fiercely and such will be their affliction that the blood of the true Ecclesiastics will flow everywhere.
52.  One of the horrible temporal Kings will be told by his adherents, as the ultimate in praise, that he has shed more of human blood of Innocent Ecclesiastics than anyone else could have spilled of wine. This King will commit incredible crimes against the Church. Human blood will flow in the public streets and temples, like water after an impetuous rain, coloring the nearby rivers red with blood.

The ocean itself will be reddened by another naval battle, such that one king will say to another, Naval battles have caused the sea to blush.

Nez par fureur quant Berich 6 viendra mordre.

Quatrains / Re: MABUS and the ANTICHRIST ......
« on: December 17, 2008, 09:32:27 PM »
This "Mabus" fixation really fascinates me, nowhere in Mr N's work does he say 3rd Antichrist or that Mabus is the 3rd Antichrist, but he seems to have had a future historical bent  rather than as a Biblical prophet who don't seem to have prophecised anything, that has come about, except for some generalities rather vague and not conclusive.
I am going for Bin Laden an anagram of d'hannibal and profiled in CVQ55 the showdown being when Bin Laden invades Spain.

CVQ55. In the country of Arabia Felix 1, (or Arabia the fortunate, an irony)
There will be born one powerful in the law of Mahomet:
To vex Spain, to conquer Grenada,
And more by sea against the Ligurian 2 people.

1 contrade = Provencal contrada, country.
2 conquester OF: conquester, to conquer, win.
3 Ligustique = Latin Ligusticus, Ligurian.

3 out of 5 points have come to pass.

Quatrains / Re: religion and nostradamus

Hi folks
Of course Mr Nostradamus, had a healthy regard to the church, he knew it well, and it's power, he got in trouble once for making a joke about the "Virgin" something about graven images, he had to leave town.
But for an objective view from one across the subject:
E Leoni he that most net content, presents 95% correct but mistakes and mistranslations abound CXQ72 CVIIIQ70,

Let us now turn to the probability of Nostradamus' being fundamentally sincere, i.e., really believing he had foreseen future events and was writing of them. Even in this case, the source of his inspiration does not become clear. In various places in his Preface to his son and in his Epistle to Henry II, he refers to having natural powers inherited from his ancestors, to divine inspiration and to adjustment of divine inspiration with astrological computation. Most frequently he refers to the last combination. He vigorously denounces magic, undoubtedly with his cheek barely able to contain his tongue. Notwithstanding all his protestations, which were for the benefit of a Church which had no objection to prophecy so long as the Dark One was not its source, he was obviously hip-deep in magic. It is fortunate that we know the precise source of all his magical formulas and experiments.
In 1497 that industrious translator and astrologer Marsilio Ficino, published in Venice a Latin translation of a classical book on all the magic of the ancient world by Jamblichus, a 4th-century philosopher and Neoplatonist of the Byzantine empire. The book seems to have been quite popular and went through several reprints. One of these was done at Lyons in 1549. There seems little reason to doubt that this was the edition by which Nostradamus was inspired.
hope that helps.
