If they're lucky they suffered a little embarrassment from having to explain prophecies which didn't come true. Niburu / Planet X has been supposed to be passing / crashing into the Earth for decades now. Supporters have previously explained its non appearance by suggesting it passed spiritually (whatever that means), or the aliens who are in control of it thought we were not ready. I expect this year will prove no different for excuses when the day comes and goes without any planet X.

Okay, so it's not THE Mabus. Instead it's Dave Mabus aka Dennis Markuze, a prolific and certifiable spammer who has spent the last 15 years harassing groups and individuals. In recent years his harassment spun over into death threats. Even the nostradamus.org forum was "blessed" with some his crazy until he was permabanned. One of his posts is preserved in the Trashcan sans working links.

Hopefully for his sake he'll receive the treatment that he so clearly needs.

It's more frequent than even that. JREF lists 44 of them and I bet they're missing out a pile which never attracted the publicity

It looked like a respectful bow to me. It might even be the correct protocol to address the king. Besides, diplomacy isn't just about threatening other states, sometimes you need to seduce and flatter them.
